Dela – Secure Buyer & Seller Transaction Platform
Dela is an Australia-based buyer and seller platform designed to make online transactions safer, more transparent, and stress-free. The project focused on designing the complete UI/UX experience for a system where sellers can initiate requests, buyers can securely confirm purchases, and payments and deliveries are tracked end-to-end within the app.

Challenge
Online marketplaces are filled with uncertainty—dodgy sellers, flaky buyers, and deals that fall apart due to lack of trust. The challenge was to design a system that removes fear from both sides of the transaction while keeping the flow simple, fast, and intuitive.
Key constraints included building trust without face-to-face interaction, preventing ghosting during transactions, and ensuring that both buyers and sellers clearly understood each step of the process. I had to carefully prioritize trust-building moments, such as payment holding, delivery tracking, and request confirmations, over secondary features. To guide decisions, I researched existing peer-to-peer marketplaces, escrow-based payment models, and user complaints related to scams and failed deals. These insights helped shape a user flow that replaces uncertainty with confidence while keeping interactions human and friction-free.
Solution
The final solution delivers a confidence-first UI that supports secure buyer–seller interactions from request to delivery. As the UI/UX Business Analyst, I structured the experience so sellers can easily send deal requests, while buyers retain control through clear confirmations and protected payments.
Payments are held safely within the platform, delivery status is tracked in-app, and every step is transparently communicated to prevent ghosting or confusion. Design decisions focused on clear call-to-actions, status indicators, and simple language to reduce stress and decision fatigue. By combining intuitive flows with trust signals and consistent UI patterns, Dela transforms risky online deals into structured, reliable experiences—allowing users to buy smarter, sell safer, and complete transactions with confidence.
